We are a non-profit organization that helps city kids get outside and introduces them to nature through guided hikes and outdoor skills building at nearby parks and outdoor areas.

We’re the owners of The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum, the aerial climbing and ziplining park in Bridgeport, CT, as well as our other locations of The Adventure Park.

We’ve seen firsthand the positive impact that being outside and connecting with nature has on both kids and adults, and we wanted to help ALL KIDS get outdoors – particularly those who have had little or no experience.

We work hard to remove any barriers to get kids outdoors, which includes our Tuition-Free Program.   All participant fees are covered by our fundraising, sponsorships and donations – so there’s no cost to kids and their families to join our program.

Our Mission

We want to cultivate a community of young outdoor enthusiasts in Bridgeport (and beyond) who become comfortable and feel safe in local outside spaces where they can appreciate nature while engaging in activities that are fun, challenging, and build confidence.

We strive to create an experience that inspires:

  • Passion for the outdoors
  • Desire to conserve and protect nature
  • Opportunity for new and even stronger friendships

Our Summer 2021 Program

This year, we’re hosting Hikes for kids ages 8 – 15 at the Aspetuck Land Trust’s Trout Brook Valley Preserve, which is on Highway 58/Blackrock Turnpike just across the Fairfield border in Weston.

We’re also excited to acknowledge all participants with our End of the Season Family Celebration, which will be held at The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum on August 18th.
