Ah, summertime! Climbing and ziplining your way through a self-paced Adventure Park experience is a perfect way to enjoy a summer day. You can climb and zipline all over our forested aerial adventure parks to your heart’s content. Trees fill our Parks, making it a cooler and shadier environment than other outdoor adventures. Trees provide shade and a respite from the sun, maximizing your outdoor fun. Here are some tips to help you enjoy your summer day at one of our Parks.

Dress for the Weather

When you’re ziplining and climbing around the Park, you’ll want to wear comfortable clothes that enable you to have a good range of motion. The harness will go around your chest, back and legs, so you’ll want to pick clothing that won’t rub or constrict you in these areas. We recommend clothes made out of moisture-wicking material to help keep you cool.

Pace Yourself

It’s only natural to get excited when you start out, but keep those hot temperatures in mind. To make the most of your experience, you’ll want to pace yourself. Since our Parks are self-guided, there’s no need to rush and keep up with other guests. Go at your own pace, and stop every once in a while to view your surroundings and inhale the fresh air. Take a quick break as needed until you’re ready to go again.

Drink Plenty of Water

Just like with anything you do outdoors in the summertime, be sure to drink plenty of water. We recommend bringing your own refillable water bottle or you can also purchase drinks in our store.  Staying hydrated is critical, especially in hotter temperatures.

Use a Cooler Face Covering

For now, local and CDC guidelines require face coverings indoors, outside in the Park and anywhere 6 feet of distance can’t be maintained. With such a variety of masks available on the market now, look for one that’s made of a lighter material and has a design that enables you to pull it up and down easily. A neck gaiter can be a good option. Also, using a cooling towel can help. Just be sure to tuck it in tightly, so you don’t lose it while climbing.

Apply Sunscreen

While trees provide a nice cover from the sun, the sun can still shine through. You don’t want to walk away from a fun-filled day with a sunburn, so make sure to apply sunscreen regularly.

Be an Early Bird

Climbing earlier in the day is usually cooler, so this is a good option for the summertime. Check out our website to see the hours of a Park location nearest to you.

Enjoy the Summertime!

We hope these tips will help you enjoy your summer day out at our Adventure Parks. Stay cool and relax in the shelter of our trees’ shade!
