Owl Creek Landing

Coming to Virginia Beach Summer 2024!

Owl Creek Landing combines breathtaking views, interactive exploration, and family-friendly fun.

This new outdoor attraction is scheduled to break ground in Spring 2024 and open in Summer 2024.

Introducing the Nautilus Tower

The 125 foot Nautilus Observation tower will anchor the new Owl Creek Landing attraction.

Set on 38 wooded acres just across the creek from Virginia Aquarium and The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium, the soaring Nautilus Tower will spiral above the treetops, delivering 360-degree panoramic views of Virginia Beach and its expansive coastline.

A First in the US

Modeled after similar designs in Europe, Nautilus Tower is the first of its kind in the country. The 80-foot diameter steel structure allows visitors to easily ascend to the top by following its seven-foot wide, circular path or a pair of interior staircases for an additional physical challenge.

Education stations at several points along the ramp introduce information about native trees and wildlife before culminating at an open-air observation deck nearly 15 stories high.

Take the Fun Way Down!

Breathe in the fresh air, sway with the trees and watch U.S. Navy jets soar just out of reach overhead before returning back to ground level via the path or stairs.

Adventurous guests may opt to instead descend via the nation’s longest stainless steel slide that twists through the center of the structure.

Designed for Any Age and Ability

The Nautilus Tower design is fully ADA-accessible and welcomes visitors of all physical abilities to explore the one-kilometer spiral ramp and connected attractions year-round.

The whole family can enjoy the visit, from the baby in the stroller to grandparents of any age.

More to Explore

Extending from the massive observation tower, the Canopy Walk will be a collection of treetop trails suspended 40 feet off the ground for another unique natural activity on the wooded site. The half-mile, wooden-decked paths also connect a set of four treehouses suitable for children as young as two.

On the ground level, more than a mile of complimentary walking trails will ring the perimeter of Owl Creek Landing dotted with benches and seating areas.
